Privacy Policy

This is my personal portfolio site. It has no accounts, no forms and no cookies, and it collects very little about you.

Who is responsible

This site is run by Patrick Anthony, an individual in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. For any privacy question or request, email patrickanthony116@gmail.com.

What is collected

  • Server logs. The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I do not use these logs to identify visitors.
  • Email. If you email me, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. I use it only to reply and to keep in touch about the reason you wrote.

The site does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, social media embeds or third-party fonts. Fonts are served from this site.

What I do not do

I do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and I do not share it with anyone except where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Emails are kept as long as they are useful for the conversation and then deleted. You can ask me to delete your emails at any time. Netlify keeps its server logs under its own retention policies.

Your rights under Canadian law

Canada's federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), sets out how personal information should be handled. In plain terms, I follow its principles: I collect only what is needed, use it only for the reason it was given, keep it safe, and let you see it or have it corrected or deleted. To make a request, email me. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
